Ever hear the term “Woo Woo”? For a few, you know exactly what I’m talking about. You probably even made that sound to yourself as you read the term a loud in your head. “Woo Woo” for those of you less privy to the name. It is what we call in the Hippy Dippy realm, something not quite of this world. People, subjects and experiences that are also probably not of this world, either. In other words. It is when one refers to topics, well, kind of “out there”. In like a mocking tone with your hands in the air, fingers twirling about as if you were discussing spirits as, “woooo wooooo”. Did you just try to make the sound again? Anyway this whole Soulcation experience both my first one and second, were nothing short of out of this world. Straight up, an existential shot of Woo Woo. No Calamansi chaser required.
One day I was minding my own damn business wasting time on Instagram scrolling and posting for both work and pleasure. When I was so welcomely interrupted by a random post of a gorgeous beach scape fronting the backside of a fit femme friend of mine, IN a two piece, relaxed in a meditation pose. Captioned with an upcoming healing, soul charging, yoga, camp out at one of Guam’s most sacred spaces, Litekyan also known as Ritidian or Urunao.
Immediately I got a soul urge to go. I mean. I’ve seen many strategized photo ops on social media that were meant to move you. But not like this one did, for me. A strong pull, as if from source itself, gave me the feeling. That not only was attending this event necessary. It was required. A sort of, life or death feeling. The Universe basically letting me know… “You bout to level up Witch!” That, though, I hadn’t known yet.
So I hit up the hottie friend on her DM’s and asked her what the deets on this Soul Vibing Camp Out was all about? She had me at Hello. No really she did. There wasn’t much else I needed to know as, ahem, the “Spirits” told me to go. Cough. Remember the life or death part? Yes. It was that strong of a command. Then she had me again at- “There will be a shuttle and a Vegan Probiotic locally cultured menu.”
We discussed many other things, including the activities. Then the part in the convo where all humans dread, since we put a monetary value on life itself. What’s this soul healing experience going to cost? My Soul? LOL nah, just kidding. Ok maybe. Who knows. This is, some Woo Woo shit we are exploring here. This out of body, soul deepening, for this beta run, was a pay what feels good method. The Universe, Source and or God -insert preferred here- basically eliminated all excuses I may have had, not to attend. “But it’s, soooo far.” TaDa,Shuttle. “But I need to pack all my meals.” TaDa, live VEGAN menu offered. “But I don’t have the budget right now, I can’t afford self care even if it means bettering my life.” TaDa, Pay What Feels Good. Now Witch, stop your complaining and go!
Ok. Phew! That was a lot to go back and recount. Considering there’s yet so much more epic Woo to share. I just barely got to the start of the first Soulcation and I have the second Soulcation experience to share as well. Alas, my ass is tired typing and my morning is about to begin. This Witch has to ease into the day before her little coven wakes to conjure their magic upon our world. I shall continue in the next chapter of “A Shot of Woo Woo. Salty. No sour. Part II”
